Cell protection with antioxidants
Free radicals play a key role in aging, chronic illnesses and degenerative changes. Antioxidants inhibit or delay these processes and help to compensate for the damage from free radicals. It is recommended that cardiovascular patients drink a glass of red wine daily to supply the body with highly effective antioxidants and consequently better protection against free radicals. What red wine is for us, grape seed flour is for cats. Natural, cold-pressed VITIS grape seed flour has the highest antioxidant potential of all foodstuffs.
The secondary plant materials present in high concentration in grape seed flour are 20-50 times more effective than the antioxidant effect of vitamins C and E. It is important that the complete grape seed is used and cold-pressed without chemical solvents. With the use of isolated components (grape seed extracts), the positive effect is considerably less.
